BreathingEarth.life works at the crossroads between cultural traditions, science, visual arts and the written word to illuminate the reciprocity between photosynthesis and respiration that is the basis of our existence: the energetic exchange between organisms that produce oxygen and every breath that we and other living creatures take.

We are excited to present collaborative projects, to be able to elevate diverse voices. We humbly acknowledge that this site originates from what is now called Maine, which is home to the sovereign people of the Wabanaki Confederacy. We exist on their unceded homelands.
